As a personal trainer I am always learning more so I can provide the best experience for my clients. In my research I discovered two women who influenced my thinking. Julie Wiebe and Brianna Battles. They introduced me to the piston breathing and pelvic floor concepts. After learning these concepts and more I realized the need for more women to learn them! A woman CAN have a safe and active pregnancy and post partum journey as long as she does it the right way. I have learned how to guide women through this using these concepts. Whether a woman is looking to gain strength, loose weight, safely heal a diastasis, or whatever her goals are I can help. Along the way I will help FORTIFY these woman and make them Fortem4Life knowing that no matter what you think, how you feel, or what others think of you, at the end of the day you are LOVED by God and created in the image and likeness of Him.
To be Fortem 4 Life means this:
Foundation: Training the right way prenatal/post partum, or maybe a woman is neither. No matter her state in life we still use the piston breathing method to start. Developing a solid foundation will set you up for success to be strong for life.
Functional: Training using a method that involves functional movements. Basically I train my clients with movements that will be incorporated into their everyday life. This will make you strong for life.
Freedom: Setting women free from the lies they've told themselves for years! Setting women free from the insecurities they have. Setting women free from incontinence, prolapse, and diastasis recti (I know when their condition is out of my scope and if I can't help I know where to send them for help!). Setting women free from being weak and helping them to be strong mentally and physically thus achieving freedom.
Fitness: Fitness comes in all levels, shapes, sizes, and varieties! Not everyone is into one category of fitness! If a client has a specific variety of fitness they want to train for I can help. Fitness is supposed to be fun and it is through fitness that I will help clients achieve freedom. Thus becoming strong for life.
At the heart of it all Fortem4Life is about bringing women together to learn the Foundation and then incorporate the foundation into Functional movements to help them gain Freedom through Fitness! It's time to become the woman you've always wanted to be. It's time to become Fortem4Life!
